Executives of Kawo Community Development Association paid a visit to KADGIS 19th February 2026 to seek for more clarification over an allegation on sale of houses in Dalet Girls Secondary School Kawo.
Recall that an offer has been made and handed over to Kaduna North LGA on 11th August 2025 with the land designated a G-item and to be utilized as a Public Institution.
The Association led by it’s Chairman Alh. Shehu Usman Dantudu who came with a copy of the offer letter expressed concern over rumored sale of the houses where teachers of the School are residing.
Responding the DG KADGIS Dr. Bashir Garba Ibrahim stated categorically that the land stills remains a G-item and No excision has been approved by the Kaduna State Governor as such the land remains in the custody of the Ministry of Education with it’s purpose as a Public Institution and has been beaconed by KADGIS.
He further stressed that KADGIS does NOT engage in sales of houses as such is not aware of any transaction.
Dr Bashir further explained that the offer was given after the Association made a request to the State Governor to have the land for the establishment of the School of Health which was graciously granted and designated as a G- item in favour of Ministry of Education and which cannot be transferred.
The Association expressed profound gratitude to KADGIS for this clarification and resolved to further investigate how such transaction was conducted, and prevailed on the State Governor to establish the School so as to put the land to good use which will enhance the Educational development of Kawo Community and environs.
