
KADGIS Management laud DG’s Achievements as they mark his 1 year in Office
In recognition of the various innovations introduced into the Service by the Director General of KADGIS, Dr. Bashir Garba Ibrahim which has improved service delivery, enabled amicable resolution of long standing and lingering land disputes inherited from past administrations and improved customers confidence in the Service, the management of KADGIS today celebrated the him to mark his one year in office.
While taking turns during the event to eulogise remarkable achievements attained by the Service within this one year of his heading the Service each management staff extolled his virtues, wealth of experience, endearing personality traits evoking fondness and admiration for him, firmness and doggedness in handling the affairs of KADGIS. All these filled the expression of each staff as they relate experiences gained working with him. Little wonder the numerous achievements within his short stay.
In his response to the gesture extended to him by the staff of KADGIS, the DG expressed his appreciation to the Governor, Senator Uba Sani for the trust and confidence accorded to him and the opportunity to serve as the Director General of KADGIS, to which he said he swore with the Holy book to perform to best required standard for the good of the masses and Kaduna State as whole. This, he will never take for granted, thus, reasons for his commitment to improve and restructure KADGIS for effective and efficient service delivery to the state.
He further stated that all these success wouldn’t have happened without the contribution and commitment of all the management and staff of the Service. He thanked all KADGIS staff for their support in making the land policies of the present administration successful that even the common man can feel its impact and assured of leaving no stone unturned for a befitting staff welfare and ensuring much more service delivery than what was done in the past one year for the development of the state and benefit of the good people of the Kaduna.
Highlight of the event was the presentation of an award to the DG by the Management Staff in recognition of his outstanding style of leadership.
Some achievements attained by the present administration in KADGIS under the leadership of Dr. Bashir Garba Ibrahim as the DG are as follows :-
1.Certificates of Occupancy
6,610 Certificates of Occupancy Printed,
9,541 Certificates of Occupancy Conveyed to various beneficiaries,
Commencement of the issuance of C-of-O within 24 hours (from March 2025)
2. Organizational Development
Established the KADGIS Consultancy and Technology Co. Ltd (August 2024)
Established the Quality Assurance Committee (July 2024)
Review of the KADGIS organizational structure (July 2024)
3. Security & Regulation
Enhanced the security of title documents with NIN and BVN (April 2024)
Downward review of various processing fees and penalties July 2024)
Commenced the regularization of Federal Government land titles (August 2024)
Reinstated over 130 land titles previously revoked.
Reviewed the Kaduna Land Use Regulations (2023).
4. Land Allocation
Facilitated the allocation of 28,358 plots (20,302 for individuals, 8,007 for organizations and 49 for Development Lease Agreements (DLA).
5. Dispute Resolution
Successfully resolved over 700 land disputes out of court.
6.Technology & Systems
Launched Compensation and Valuation System (CVS) software (February 2025)
Digitized over 4,000 properties for valuation and other purposes.
7.Valuation & Revenue
796 properties have been assessed and valued for assignments and 9 for request from other MDAs with a total of N1,534,579,533.00 as revenue for Stamp Duty and registration.
3,389 properties were assessed for LUC with a total of N729,429,844,843.34 as market value and N8,156,484,987.57 as generated revenue.
Successfully reviewed the State Standard Valuation rates
8. Compensation
Paid compensation to various claimants at Gubuchi (Makarfi District), Zaria City Mosque, Qatar Social Housing Scheme (Lokotoko District) and Tudun Biri in the sum of N290,626,237.00
Completed the assessment of roads for compensation in 12 Districts (Karuga, Lokotoko, Babban Saura Makarfi, Makwalla, Kwabi, Rafi, Damishi, Kakura, Chikaji, Sobawa, and Kajinjiri).
Assessment for compensation of acquired land in 5 districts of the Eastern Sector at 81.4% level of completion.
Assessment of properties for Tudun Biri Road and Millennium City Road expansion both at 80% level of completion.
9. Planning & Development
Prepared 154 layout plans, out of which 137 have been approved with a total of 68,607 plots. Total Area planned within this period is 10,296.84 hectares.
Recorded 330 planning transactions (subdivisions, mergers, extensions, change of purpose/land use)
1,110 Town Planning Comments recorded.
Prepared 16 Industrial Plans covering 307.75 hectares with over 700 plots.
Over 200 sites identified for local and foreign investors
Completed Detailed Design of 10 remaining Districts in Kaduna Eastern Sector Development Plan
10. Survey & Demarcation
Successfully carried out 739 survey and demarcation activities across various locations.
