As a member of the Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic Community, I, on behalf of Progressive Youth Forum, extend our deepest gratitude to the Director-General of the Kaduna State Geographic Information System (KADGIS), Dr. Bashir Ibrahim Garba, for his unwavering commitment to revitalizing and repositioning the agency for optimal performance. Under his visionary leadership, long-standing challenges that previously hindered the agency’s effectiveness are being systematically addressed with remarkable success.
On the 24th of July, 2025, Dr. Garba demonstrated exceptional leadership by chairing a roundtable discussion with representatives of communities neighboring Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Zaria, to resolve lingering land disputes. Through his adept negotiation and mediation skills, he meticulously examined the root causes of the conflicts, reviewed past resolution efforts, identified existing gaps, and proposed sustainable solutions in strict adherence to Kaduna State land laws. His efforts have restored hope and fostered peaceful relations between the affected communities and KADGIS after years of unresolved grievances.
The communities commend Dr. Garba for his people-centric approach to conflict resolution, which has brought much-needed justice and fairness to the process. We are particularly grateful for his dedication to upholding the rule of law while ensuring equity for all parties involved.
Furthermore, we extend our sincere appreciation to His Excellency, Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State, for appointing a leader of Dr. Garba’s caliber—a man of merit, integrity, and capacity—to steer the affairs of KADGIS. This appointment underscores the governor’s commitment to good governance and inclusive development in Kaduna State.
Once again, we thank Dr. Bashir Ibrahim Garba for his outstanding service and urge him to sustain this exemplary leadership style for the continued progress of KADGIS and Kaduna State at large.
