
The Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development has submitted the 2024 National Technical Development Fund harmonised compensation rates crops and economic trees to KADGIS.
The rate provides a standardized guide for valuation and compensation across the country and supersede the 2008 version.
While making the presentation, Assistant Director department of Lands and Housing development, Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development ESV Alice Bishen explained that all States are requested to adopt and apply the 2024 rates in the assessment and payment of compensation for land acquisition and related matters in line with National policy and in the interest of equity and transparency.
Chairman Nigerian Institute of Estate Surveyors and Valuers Kaduna State chapter ESV Ambrose Okofu who was also part of the delegation appreciated KADGIS under the leadership of The Director General Dr Bashir Garba Ibrahim while stressing the the importance of synergy between NIESV and KADGIS which must be sustained.
In his welcome address the Director General Dr Bashir Garba urged NIESV to open up affiliate membership of the institute for lawyers Engineers, Architects and other related professionals to standardize Estate matters in line with International best practice.
He also encouraged the Institution to key into available opportunities by providing consultancy Services for various Government agencies and organisations as their services are highly needed.
