Today Monday 11th August KADGIS handed over the offer letter of the land surrounding Dalet Girls Secondary School Kawo to the chairman of Kaduna North LGA Hon. Gambo Mohammed after it was designated as a G-item.
This followed a complaint to the State Government by Kawo Community Development Association under the leadership of it’s CHairman Alh Shehu Usman Dantudu over moves by certain individuals to encroach on the land which will be detrimental to the growth and development of the school and education in general.
At the meeting it was agreed the whole land be designated a public institution land for the development of a skills acquisition centre,a sports centre and a College of Health Technology which will serve Kawo Community and Kaduna State in general.
The DG KADGIS,Dr Bashir Garba Ibrahim praised the association for being prompt in raising the alarm and urged other associations to emulated such thoughtful action.
During the meeting the issue of Kawo cemetery was finally laid to rest as it was also designated as a G-item with the offer letter handed over to Chairman Kaduna North as well.
The meeting had in attendance District Head of Kawo Alh Jibrin Mohammed Magaji, representatives of Kawo Muslim Association of Nigeria,other stakeholders as well as some management staff of KADGIS with the District Head appreciating the promptness of the action taken by KADGIS to guard the land against misuse.
