Still on the issue of land compensation for locals whose farmlands were taken over to pave way for investors, another stakeholders meeting was convened Tuesday 9th Dec 2025 with some residents, farmers, traditional rulers and Investors in Kagarko Local Government Area all in efforts aimed at creating an enabling environment for investment to thrive and for locals and farmers to also benefit from such arrangement.
The farms were taken over to establish the Kaima Smart City project which is a huge project with few of its kind in the country and is expected to create massive economic and social development for Kaduna State and the FCT as it straddles the two.
Council Chairman Kagarko Local Government Area Hon Muhyideen A. Umar urged the investors to commence work as the project has stagnated for a long time and also urged Locals to give maximum cooperation as there’s no going back on the project.
The investors gave assurance of commencement of the project with the ground breaking preparations already in full swing and is expected to hold in a short time.
