On the15th of Dec 2025 at KADGIS, there was presentation of cheques to some farmers in Birnin Gwari LGA for compensation over land allocated to establish a Farmers’ market.
The cash compensation is a goodwill gesture on the part of the State Government under the leadership of His Excellency Senator Uba Sani to the farmers to cover for any loss they may have incurred in the process.
Already an alternative land has been identified to give to the farmers on lease on a yearly basis to enable them continue their farming activities.
The cheques presentation was carried out in the presence of the Local Government Executive Chairman Hon Salisu Isa who accompanied the farmers to the Service centre .
The Farmers expressed their deep appreciation to the Executive Governor over this thoughtful gesture and also welcomed the Establishment of the Farmers Market which is a plus to the Local Government being an agrarian community and widely known for it’s large scale farming.
