The week ended on a positive note for stakeholders of Hayin Danmani Community as a contentious plot of land previously used as a community dumpsite was officially designated as a G-Item, paving the way for the establishment of a Primary Health Care Centre.
The plot had been a source of concern for community members following ownership claims by an individual, despite the land being recognized as a community asset and already suffering from encroachment.
The offer letter was formally presented to the Chairman of Igabi Local Government Area, Hon. Sani Abdul Zangon Aya, in the presence of traditional leaders, community representatives, and other relevant stakeholders.
Community members expressed excitement and appreciation over the development, noting that it would finally put to rest ownership claims backed by what they described as questionable documentation. They also pledged to immediately commence fencing of the land to prevent further encroachment and its continued use as a dumpsite.
Speaking during the presentation, the Director General of KADGIS, Dr. Bashir Garba Ibrahim, urged the community to safeguard the property pending the commencement of construction activities. He assured stakeholders that plans would be set in motion to actualize the proposed Primary Health Care Centre, which is expected to greatly benefit the people of Hayin Danmani and surrounding communities.
Dr. Ibrahim further disclosed that plans are underway to regularize the entire Hayin Danmani community as part of efforts to ensure proper land administration and sustainable development in the area.
