The commitment of the Kaduna State Government to the provision of quality education, which remains central to this administration, received a significant boost today with the approval of land allocation for the establishment of Government Secondary School (GSS) Maraban Guga in Giwa Local Government Area.
The desire to have a secondary school in the community has remained a long-standing aspiration of the people of Maraban Guga, who over the years made several requests to previous administrations without receiving a positive response.
This long-awaited request was finally granted by Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, who approved approximately three hectares of land situated in a strategic location within the community for the development of the school.
The Director General of KADGIS, Dr. Bashir Garba Ibrahim, today presented the offer letter to community elders in the presence of government officials.
The elders expressed immense joy and appreciation for the gesture, thanking the Kaduna State Government and KADGIS for making their dream a reality.
They noted that this development comes shortly after another land allocation was approved in the area for the establishment of the Giwa Market, a project they believe will further improve the socioeconomic activities of the local government and enhance development across the community.
