The Director General of KADGIS Dr. Bashir Garba Ibrahim on Monday 20th July presented offer letters to farm/land owners whose farms where affected by the GAAIZ project which is a Government developmental project with massive potential. This followed several meetings held in the past to determine those who were actually affected and how to carry out assessment that will determine the compensation to be given.
These farm owners who were mostly customary title holders were presented with offers on zero premium with a promise of getting their titles once all necessary documentation have been concluded .
The beneficiaries appreciated the DG for his steadfastness in resolving their issue which has brought a much sought after relief to the affected farmers.
The DG confirms that those not captured in the previous assessment exercise will be assessed immediately to enable them receive their offers.
