Officials of Bank of Industry today paid a courtesy visit to Kaduna Geographic Information Service (KADGIS) as part of efforts to strengthen existing relations and explore new areas of collaboration between both institutions.
The Divisional Head, North West Region of the Bank, Mukhtar Bawuro, who led the delegation, explained that the visit was aimed at appreciating the management of KADGIS for the support and services rendered in facilitating the smooth operations of the bank, particularly in relation to loan disbursement processes for beneficiaries.
He noted that the Bank also seeks greater cooperation as it continues efforts to strengthen Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through the provision of small and medium-scale loans. According to him, properties are often used as collateral to secure such facilities, making KADGIS a critical institution in verifying the authenticity and status of such properties.
In his welcome address, the Director General of KADGIS, Bashir Garba Ibrahim, described the Bank of Industry as an important partner in progress, particularly in the area of supporting and strengthening businesses across the state and the country at large.
He further noted that with the newly introduced sectional titling system in Kaduna State, more businesses now stand to benefit from the financing opportunities provided by the Bank of Industry.
Dr. Bashir reaffirmed the commitment of KADGIS to continue providing the necessary support and assistance to the Bank whenever the need arises, in the spirit of sustaining a productive partnership for economic growth and development.
