
Executives of National Identity Management Commission Kaduna State Office on 17th September 2025 paid a courtesy Visit to KADGIS to strengthen existing relationship between the two agencies.
The delegation led by the coordinator of NIMC Kaduna State Lawal Yahaya mentioned some of the mandate of the commission which includes harmonizing and integration of all existing National Identity into a single data base as well as issuance of a general multipurpose card to all legal applicants which can serve in different aspects of identification and transaction.
He added that NIMC seeks further collaboration with KADGIS to sanitize land related transaction in areas of acquisition transfer and titling. NIMC is also to deploy an enrolment desk and self service centre at KADGIS to ease identification purposes.
In his welcome address the Director General of KADGIS Dr. Bashir Garba Ibrahim mentioned some of the achievements of his administration which include the mandatory use of NIN in all land transactions which further serve as a form of added security.
He said the areas of needed collaboration between the two agencies are numerous and both stand to benefit as property ownership goes hand in hand with proper identity.
He added that it is the wish of Kaduna State Government to have a record of every landlord and tenant with regards to house ownership and occupancy and this can be achieved through collaboration with NIMC.
