The Kaduna Geographical Information Service today 7th November 2025 made it’s budget presentation/defense for the year 2026 in accordance with the Constitution of The Federal Republic of Nigeria which mandates any expenditure for All Government MDA’s to be presented and approved before execution .
The Director General of KADGIS Dr Bashir Garba Ibrahim who led the Management team of the Service at the presentation rolled out the plans for the year during a thorough Q&A session that borders on technicalities.
With KADGIS being the second highest revenue generation agency of the State much is expected as such issues on enhanced revenue generation and blocking of leakages were addressed as well as other challenges being faced.
Also with the new National Tax Law which is coming into effect by the beginning of next year it is stressed upon KADGIS to shore up it’s revenue generation for the State as the year 2026 is likely to be a challenging year In that aspect.
The Director General gave assurance on improved revenue generation especially with new programmes notably The Sectional Titling expected to commence before the year runs out.
