Executives of the Motor Dealers Association of Nigeria Kaduna Branch (MODAK) today paid a visit to Kaduna Geographic Information Service (KADGIS) to seek resolution of a land-related issue involving one of its members.
Acting on the directive of Uba Sani, who ordered a speedy resolution of the matter, the Director General of KADGIS, Bashir Garba Ibrahim, commended the association for channeling their complaint through the appropriate government institution. He encouraged the association to continue liaising with KADGIS whenever such issues arise, emphasizing that the relationship between both institutions has remained cordial and longstanding over the years.
The DG explained that the land in contention is currently under litigation and, as such, no action can be taken until the matter is conclusively resolved by a court of law.
He further disclosed that, following the directive of Governor Uba Sani, plans have already been set in motion to provide a befitting permanent site for the association where it can establish a world-class showroom and car park. According to him, this initiative is expected to significantly boost automobile business activities within Kaduna State.
Speaking during the visit, Chairman of MODAK, Aminu Ibrahim Dankakalo, commended KADGIS for its swift intervention in addressing the issue and for the proactive measures being taken to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
He also expressed appreciation to Governor Uba Sani for his concern and commitment towards supporting the association, particularly through the initiative to provide a permanent car stand, which is expected to greatly enhance the commercial activities of the association and contribute positively to the economy of Kaduna State.
