
PUBLIC WARNING ON CUSTOMARY LAND TRANSACTIONS

The kaduna Geographic Information Service (KADGIS) hereby calls the attention of the general public and communities to the increasing risks associated with the purchase and sale of land based solely on Customary Titles.
Kadgis observes that Customary Titles often lack adequate details and verifiable information on land ownership a situation currently being exploited by criminal elements to acquire land for criminal activities particularly in Millennium City,Rigasa,Sobawa Mahuta, and other locations across Kaduna State.
In view of the forgoing, members of the public are strongly advised to avoid transacting in land held under Customary Title arrangements and to conduct land transactions only on plots with valid offers and recognized titles processed through KADGIS.
The public is further informed that any person who transacts in land based on Customary Titles does so entirely at their own risk and KADGIS shall not be liable for any disputes, losses, criminal use, or consequences arising from such transactions.
This notice is issued in the interest of public safety, security, transparency, and orderly land administration in kaduna states.
For verification or further guidance on legitimate land titles, members of the public are advised to contact KADGIS through its recognised official communication channels.
