As we approach the rainy season in this part of the country farmers are gearing up for this yearly phenomenon including resolving all pending farmlands issues to allow for a rancour free farming season.
This prompted the convening of a stakeholder meeting with farmers from Birnin yero in Igabi LGA whose farmlands were allocated to investors by the previous administration for large scale commercial farming namely Dutch Du Royale Ltd,Yardar Allah Stallion Synergy co Ltd,K K Kingdom Farms ,Mai Afaku Nig Ltd,Mukarrama Network Services Ltd.
Recall that a meeting of similar nature was convened on 20th November 2025 after the farmers took to the road for a peaceful demonstration to kick against the actions of an investor who ordered them off their farms without due process and this prompted the Kaduna State Governor Senator Uba Sani to order for an investigation and swift resolution.
As a result KADGIS resolved to allow farmers have access to their farms pending the final resolution to enable them work on their farms and to address the issue of the investors amicably.
The Security agencies will also be briefed on this development to avoid breakdown of law and order.
Responding on behalf of the Locals Sarkin Birnin yero Alh Usman Suleiman expressed immense gratitude to the State Governor for coming to Thier aid at this critical time and promised to abide by all resolutions and prayed for a final resolution as was done in order communities in the State notably Gadan gayan.
He also heaped praises on the DG of KADGIS Dr Bashir Garba Ibrahim for his steadfastness and commitment to an amicable resolution and prayed for the continued success of this administration.
