Traditional leaders from Chikun Local Council attended a Stakeholder meeting over portion of land located at Kakura which was allocated to the Nigerian Defence Headquarters for establishing a shooting range.
Discussions centred around compensation to locals whose lands were taken and other grey areas to be addressed,with assessment expected to commence at the earliest possible time.
It is expected that the shooting range will boost the general security of the area and is being regarded as a welcome development .
